Reverence and respect
The traditional way of life and culture of the city of Dubai and all the Arab Emirates in the bulk is determined by the canons of Islam. The book of the Koran, sacred for every Muslim, is the main primary source of Arab law. On the basis of this book, the Shariah was created, a set of rules that defines the ethical and moral standards of human behavior in the family and society.
The main feature of Arab culture is a respectful and respectful attitude towards the weaker sex. In Dubai, attitudes towards women are based on the understanding that a woman is the guardian of family happiness and home.
Of course, the norms of Muslim law impose some restrictions on the female sex, for example, norms of behavior in society, traditional closed clothing, etc. However, at the same time, women in the United Arab Emirates have equal rights and freedoms with men. Moreover, at the legislative level, women are protected from male harassment, threats, and insults. The legislation of the United Arab Emirates provides for harsh penalties for such offenses, it can be a significant financial fine or imprisonment.
Modern Arab women take an active part in the public life of the city. Women realize themselves in politics and create worthy competition for men.
Of course, the culture of the United Arab Emirates has its own specifics in terms of attitudes towards women and many other aspects. But your trip to this amazing country will not become less exciting because of this, on the contrary, you will get to know more interesting Arab culture.

Discomfort and Inconvenience
Despite the fact that in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, ideal conditions have been created for a comfortable and safe holiday, local residents, due to religious and traditional restrictions, may experience some discomfort and inconvenience next to numerous foreign tourists. The Dubai authorities are trying with all their might to smooth out such inconsistencies in the organization of leisure and recreation for the local population.
For example, especially for the female half of the urban population, specialized beach areas have been opened. The women’s beach in the UAE is an area where only women are allowed to relax and swim.
There are two such beach areas in Dubai, Jumeirah, and Al Mamzar. These are modern first-class beaches that are ideally equipped for a beach holiday. But women can visit it on certain days of the week, by the way, on such days, access to the beach for men is prohibited. The UAE women’s beach on ordinary days becomes an ordinary beach and is ready to accept everyone who wants to plunge into the azure sea and sunbathe under the Arabian sun.

Women’s Day
Such an expression as Women’s Day in the UAE has already become quite famous. You might think that we are talking about celebrating International Women’s Day in the Emirates, but this is not the case. In Dubai, the attitude towards women is special, characterized by a delicate and respectful approach. That is why the local authorities organized special women’s days for Arab women. Women’s Day in the UAE means that certain beach recreation areas are open only for women, while national and public parks, sports centers, fitness clubs, swimming pools, and water parks provide women with the opportunity to take a break from male society.
Muslim traditions oblige local women to wear a hijab, and therefore an Arab woman will never wear a bathing suit. In this regard, the presence of Arab women on ordinary beaches is associated with certain discomforts and inconveniences.

Going to meet the female half, the state implements various projects and is gradually increasing the number of such projects. It can be noted that when introducing the new bill, the authorities also took care of the interests of married couples and students. It is planned to open special areas for beach recreation for students and couples.
This decree was issued by the official authorities to define special women’s days. Several days a week, certain beach areas, parks, and recreation areas will be open only for women with children. Women’s Day in the UAE is officially approved at the legislative level.
This decision was made by the municipal authorities after a thorough analysis of the preferences of the local population. According to the authorities, first of all, the new bill is aimed at supporting and strengthening the national traditions and culture of the Arab people.
For example, it has long been no secret that there are SPA salons for women only in Dubai. The world’s first SPA center Eforea Spa exclusively for women opened in 2016 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah. The complex is housed in a detached building overlooking the infinity pool and beach and houses two treatment rooms, an indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room. In addition, there is a sunbathing terrace, a beauty salon, and a bar with soft drinks at the services.

This innovation caused a violent reaction from the local population, but most of them accepted the news with joy. And on the corresponding beach areas, signs with the order and restrictions have already been installed. Many Arab women feel that it is worth increasing the number of special women’s days. This practice has been operating on the territory of the United Arab Emirates for a long time, but it requires further adjustments and amendments.
It is due to religious beliefs that in Dubai, the UAE, the attitude towards women has its own specific character. When developing public programs and projects, local authorities always take into account such specifics. In the near future, it is planned to increase the number of special women’s beach areas. This project will be implemented as part of the Dubai Embankment Expansion Program. The constructed beaches will accept women with children, regardless of religion and nationality.
