E3 is over, and tons of cool video games were revealed this year. Xbox, Square Enix, Nintendo, and several other studios showed off their upcoming games for 2021 and beyond. Here are five of the most exciting games announced or revealed during the event.
1. Elden Ring
Many will agree that the Elden Ring trailer was one of the biggest things that happened at this year’s E3. Announced two years ago, Elden Ring is an action-adventure game by From Software, the studio behind titles such as Dark Souls and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. The new trailer gave us a glimpse of the epic fantasy world in Elden Ring, as well as a bit of gameplay. The game is set to be released on the 21st of January 2022, which means we will be able to dive into it in just a few months.
2. Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands
A Tiny Tina game was leaked right before E3 started, but the speculation was that it was a DLC for Borderlands 3. Instead, 2K announced that it is a full standalone game featuring the eccentric character from the Borderlands series, set in a fantasy universe with dragons, bullets, and magic. Tiny Tina became a fan-favorite thanks to the Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep DLC in Borderlands 2, and many were excited to learn she’s getting her own game. The game will be released in early 2022 for PC, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PS5.
3. Battlefield 2042
Whether you are an avid video gamer or someone who likes to play at the casinos you can read about at BestCasino, you probably know about this franchise. Battlefield is a multiplayer FPS game in which players fight it out on large-scale maps. The next entry in the series, Battlefield 2042, was technically revealed right before E3, but a gameplay trailer was shown during the Xbox event. One of the most exciting things about the new game is that it allows 128 players to play on the same map. Battlefield 2042 comes out in October this year.
Not much has been known about Starfield since its announcement during E3 2018, but we finally got to learn a bit more during the Xbox and Bethesda conference. Starfield is an open-world RPG developed by Bethesda Game Studio, the company behind the Fallout and The Elder Scrolls titles. We only got a short CGI trailer without any form of gameplay, but it was enough to get us excited. Bethesda says Starfield will launch exclusively on Xbox in 2022, so let’s hope that it won’t be delayed.
5. Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope
Nintendo had a strong conference this year. One of the biggest game reveals of E3 was Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, the sequel to the charming Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle from 2017. Developed by Nintendo and Ubisoft, the new title expands upon the tactical gameplay of the first title. We can expect new characters, new weapons, and brand new gameplay mechanics. Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope releases on the Nintendo Switch in 2022.
