Summon Raging Spirits are often overlooked, but here is how this build can be very effective for you.

In Path of Exile, there are a wealth of different builds for you to make use of. Whilst some cost more PoE currency than others, or they differ in other ways such as effectiveness and how they utilize PoE orbs, some are just overlooked by many completely. Summon Raging Spirits, often abbreviated to SRS, is actually potentially really useful in a number of ways.

Knowing how to make the most of them is important. They can move through mobs of monsters very quickly, and they have the ability to heal you when they have died. The ability to stun and blind those around you is very useful too, making them a great utility feature in the game. Overall, its DPS isn’t the best in the game, but it is more than capable of completing all of the content that is on offer.

Positives and Negatives

What’s good about this build is that it can be used to clear boss content in the end-game, and is a good league starter too with decent PoE uniques that aren’t difficult to get a hold of. What’s also great about this kind of build is that it doesn’t really matter how offensive or defensive you want to be, since it’s got such a wide range of options for you to customize throughout.

The downside of SRS is that if you come across a boss with powerful AoE then it will effectively wipe out your character to prevent any damage from being done. It is also a summoner build which is an important point to keep in mind, which means that you won’t actually do any damage, leaving it to the minions which means that face tanking is a no go.

How Does it Play?

So is the SRS Necromancer build something you should opt for? Given that it is capable of working with all content, it can be very effective for someone who is looking to play as more than one character in the game. If you want to invest heavily, then you can do so to get to higher DPS ranges, but the amount depends entirely on you.

It is undoubtedly great for bosses, but it can still work with the pace that you approach the game with, whether it’s fast or slow. Keep on top of the movement skill by casting skulls, and you will notice that over a period of time the movement shifts to like a wave, and you will have a much better understanding of how the range of the skulls will work, which means that you can ultimately become a better player with the PoE build and how you can go through packs of enemies with them.

Meanwhile, any boss that you can come across will be put under pressure by the ability to pre-cast, which by setting up 20 skulls can have a devastating effect. If you don’t take a boss down quickly, you will certainly get through a phase of the fight with it.

So there you have it. With the Path of Exile – SRS Necromancer build, it can be effective when used in the right manner. That is the most important takeaway from all of this since it is something that is often disregarded as being useless. Learn to adapt to it, and you will notice that it is particularly great for bossing and more.
