An effective way to earn gold in OSRS is to participate in the Restless Ghost quest.
If you have been looking for unique ways to earn OSRS gold, then consider the Restless Ghost quest. This is a short, novice quest that has some decent rewards for the short time that you have to put into it. The items that you need to get won’t require you to buy OSRS gold either, which is also a bonus.
Starting your Quest
You firstly need to go to Lumbridge chapel and speak with Father Aereck. You will be informed that there is a ghost that has been haunting the Lumbridge graveyard. You will be tasked with helping by going to speak to Father Urhney, who you can find to the west of Lumbridge Swamp to find out further information.
Head south from the castle then go west to find the swamps. The small house here is where you with find Father Urhney, so go inside and speak to him about Father Aereck requesting help with the ghost. To aid your quest, you will be given an amulet of ghostspeak which gives you the ability to talk to the ghost. You should also keep hold of this item so that you can use it in later quests too.
Head back to Lumbridge and go to the graveyard. Locate the marble coffin that you can find within the small house that is by the graveyard.
Setting the Ghosts Free
Equip your amulet of ghostspeak then go over to the coffin to search it. Speak with the ghost who appears, and you will be told that his skull is missing and asks you to help find it. The skull apparently went missing close to the Wizards’ Tower on an island near Draynor Village.
Head south of Draynor Village to the island inhabiting the Wizards’ Tower, then climb down the ladder near the entrance. You will find an altar here, so search it to get the ghost’s skull. Be aware of the attacking skeleton, though you can run from it if you choose to. With the skull in your inventory, head back to Lumbridge graveyard.
Speak to the ghost once more, who will request you put the skull in his coffin, so do so to see his spirit head into the river. This will complete the quest and bring it to a close.
Quest Rewards
For completing the quest, you will receive a quest point, as well as 1,125 Prayer XP. Perhaps most importantly, you will get to keep the ghostspeak amulet which can come in handy later on.
The need to find someone selling OSRS gold isn’t needed here. The only requirement that you will have is to make sure that you can kill a skeleton, but even that is optional for you to participate in, since you can just run away if you choose to.
