Modular technology of LED screen

The major advantage of an electronic LED display composed of LED pixel modules is that it can be formed or constructed without any dimensional limitations. It can be very small or completely giant or mega-giant. There is no limit on these screens because they are modular. And therefore being modular there are no gaps between the junction of modules or LED cabinets, these screens are governed based on the size of the module that makes up the pixels and depending on the pixel pitch (each manufacturer may have its own module size or its specific module in terms of length and height dimension), it may be the case that a manufacturer has modules manufactured in a specific dimension to prevent competition from replacing it since each module is manufactured in series and by a specific mold. These modules are found in all kinds of presentations or varieties, that is to say with different manufacturers of LED brands, different intensities, different qualities, and presentations in DIP or SMD (also exist in presentation Dot Matrix, which is more expensive than the SMD, but it is no longer very common, the manufacture was discontinued due to its high cost). They can be designed for indoor, outdoor, architectural uses (flexible or special based on your requirements), or for specific uses.

In places of installation where the environment is very aggressive (for example near the sea, where the air contains a lot of dust or salt) it is recommended that the modules contain a special varnish coating, as well as in their power supplies and cabinets (in case they are made of steel and not aluminum).

LED backlighting

The LCD with LED backlight or LED display is an LCD display that uses a type of lighting based on light-emitting diodes (LEDs) instead of the fluorescent lamps used in traditional LCD displays. Backlight units are necessary for LCD displays because they do not have their own luminance.

Until now, the most commonly used backlight unit has been the CCFL (cold cathode fluorescent light), but the qualities of LED technology, such as long life expectancy, fast response, wide color gamut, and environmental friendliness, have made LED backlighting the best candidate to replace it.

Since the only change in the monitor is only in the back lamps, the monitor will inherit exactly the same characteristics as the panel it is made of, only improving the elements related to illumination, but never the viewing quality of the panel.

This type of backlighting does not change the image quality of monitors or televisions, since the panel technology is the same, but the vision does. The difference is in the type of illumination, achieving more energy efficiency and more effective lighting. They are cheap to manufacture, but not like fluorescent tubes.
