Morning Agenda: Cable car bell ringing contest and mosquito fogging

 

8 a.m. The Contra Costa County’s Community Corrections Partnership will meet to discuss the proposed expansion of the Contra Costa County Jail. Opponents of the plan are expected to attend.

Noon  The San Francisco Metropolitan Transportation Agency will host the 49th Annual Cable Car Bell Ringing Contest.

Union Square, San Francisco

5:30 p.m. The Citizens Advisory Committee on the planned Warriors arena project will meet. Agenda includes a discussion of transportation and accesiblity.

Bayside Conference Room, Port of San Francisco, Pier 1, The Embarcadero, San Francisco, 

7 p.m. This month marks the second anniversary of the San Bruno Pipeline explosion. The San Mateo History Museum will screen a 30-minute documentary on the explosion, followed by a question and answer period led by San Bruno Mayor Jim Ruane and City Manager Connie Jackson.

Courtroom A, 2200 Broadway St., Redwood City

7:35 p.m. The Contra Costa Mosquito and Vector Control District will be fogging to prevent West Nile Virus.
