Raphael Saadiq represents the old school soul and R&B sound of Oakland, California through his career as a singer-songwriter and as a producer for over 25 years. Always a staple at the Grammys each time he is nominated, Saadiq is best known for his 1995 hit “Ask of You” and his most current album The Way I See It (2008). Producing for artists such as Joss Stone, TLC, John Legend, and Mary J. Blige, it is clear that his attention to rhythm, pop, soul, and talent will ensure that his set is much anticipated.
