About Me

Before joining The Bay Citizen as online editor, I was a founding staff member of the daily local news magazine Crosscurrents from KALW Public Radio, 91.7 FM in San Francisco. I have reported nationally for NPR News, PRI’s The World, and The Takeaway. In 2009, I was named “Outstanding Emerging Journalist” by the Northern California Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. I moved to San Francisco from New York in 2005.
