Prop. 8 Decision: Map of Planned Events

Rallies around the Bay Area in support of same-sex marriage

In anticipation of a ruling in the Prop. 8 case, rallies and marches have been planned across the Bay Area in support of same-sex marriage. In San Francisco, a rally begins at 5 p.m. at Harvey Milk Plaza in the Castro district and will continue with a march to Civic Center Plaza. At this time, proponents of Prop. 8 have not announced rallies for their cause. If you've heard of one, let us know.

Prop 8 Trial Plantiff’s Decision Event

The American Foundation for Equal Rights--the organization that launched the Perry v. Schwarzenegger case--will hold a news conference in San Francisco immediately after the decision. The event will include the plaintiffs and lead attorneys Ted Olson and David Boies.

Day of Decision Community Response March

A same-sex rights advocacy group called Marriage Equality USA is involved in organizing a rally and march later today. The rally starts in the Castro at 5 p.m., followed by a march down Market to City Hall (with a stop at the LGBT Center along the way). The march ends in a rally at City Hall from about 6:45 p.m. to 8 p.m.
