Bay Area Arabs Rally in Support of Egyptian Protesters
As protests continue in Cairo and across the Arab world, San Franciscans show their support
Hundreds of people gathered today on Montgomery and Market to rally in support of protesters in Egypt. Most of those attending were members of the Bay Area Arab community. The crowd marched down Market Street all the way to U.N. Plaza, chanting slogans such as "Down, Down with Mubarak!"
Egypt remains gripped by protests against the 30 year regime of President Hosni Mubarak. Demonstrators expressed their solidarity those who have taken to the streets of Cairo and other major cities.
