For the next week at Fort Mason, a very special event will be taking over a large warehouse room: the much-anticipated Barney's Warehouse Sale. This roving event, which also lands in L.A. and New York, happens first in the Bay Area. This is gravy for bargain-hunters who might window shop in the Union Square Barney's Store, but can only open their wallets during the deeply discounted event. Racks and racks of designer stuff is there for the taking, provided you aren't the modest sort. The sale has rows and rows of dresses, jeans, shirts and accessories but no dressing rooms. Spandex undergarments are advised.
