With the summer inching closer to fall, it's time for CounterPULSE's two summer artists in residence, Jesse Hewit and Laura Arrington, to reveal what they've been working on. It's a double bill: Arrington’s “Hot Wings” examines what exactly "feminine" means in a dance/theater work that is, as CounterPULSE's press materials note, "probably feminist." Hewit is also concerned with the feminine, in a piece called "Tell Them That You Saw Me," that uses lipstick, repetition, sacred hymns, fatigue, and sex stories. Ladies, bring your smelling salts: It could get messy. $10-$15.
