Stolen Gandhi Statue Is Recovered Unharmed

A statue of Gandhi belonging to a peace activist in Novato has been recovered, according to the Associated Press.

The Gandhi effigy, made out of paper mache, was in the backseat of Jes Richardson’s car when it was stolen last week

Novato resident Amy Sullivan told the Marin Independent Journal that she recognized the Gandhi’s head in the car from the media and called local authorities.
