The campaign for San Francisco's sit/lie measure, Proposition L, has collected $6,000 in additional donations since the close of the last filing period, new documents show.
$1,000 came from the Teed Haze Foundation, which listed an address in San Francisco's 94111 zip code. Teed Haze is a real-estate company with listings in District 7, "one of the most affluent areas of San Francisco," according to its website.
The other $5,000 was donated by David Crane, special advisor to Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger on jobs and economic growth. He listed his zip code as 94115, which includes San Francisco's Lower Pacific Heights neighborhood.
In the final stretch leading up to the election, campaigns must report donations of more than $1,000 dollars within 24 hours, according to San Francisco Ethics Commission staff.
Thursday, Oct. 21, is the deadline for campaigns to report all contributions for the period from Oct. 1 through Oct. 16.
The campaign opposing Prop. L, Sidwalks are for People, has already filed disclosure forms for that period, showing it has now raised $7,802, including a $200 contribution from San Francisco Supervisor John Avalos' campaign for the Democratic County Central Committee and a $250 donation from "Aaron for DCCC" — which is former Supervisor Aaron Peskin's campaign for the same body.
The anti-Prop. L campaign also reports $100 gifts from Jennifer Digioia, a teacher for The Little School; psychoanalyst Jane Kite; and Mary Magee, a registered nurse.
