Your Guide to the Schwarzenegger Scandal

It didn't take long for tabloids to identify and name a woman they claim is the household staffer who had a child with Arnold Schwarzenegger. The Los Angeles Times broke the story, but chose not to name the woman.

In a joint investigation posted Tuesday night, RadarOnline.com and Star magazine named Mildred Patricia Baena as the mother of the 13-year-old boy.

TMZ and ABC News confirmed that story. TMZ published the court records from her divorce from her husband, Rogelio de Jesus Baena. The documents indicate that the couple had no children together, despite the fact that Baena is listed as the father on the child's birth certificate, according to People

Although the couple separated 13 years ago, shortly after the child was born, Mildred Baena didn't file for divorce until 2008, according to People.

Baena now lives in Bakersfield, in a home which the New York Times reported Schwarzenegger may have purchased for her. The house on Native Dancer Street was staked out by "a maelstrom of televisions cameras, reporters and onlookers Wednesday morning as her identity became known," the paper said.

Schwarzenegger and his wife, Maria Shriver, announced their separation on May 9. According to the Los Angeles Times, the household staffer left her position in the couple's house earlier this year on good terms. She received a severance payment, the paper reported.

Yet, RadarOnline.com reported Baena had threatened to go public with the affair four weeks ago, after she was fired by Schwarzenegger, who, the site said, was trying to save his marriage.

Hollywood publicist Howard Bragman told the Los Angeles Times that a bounty of as much as $1 million is likely being offered for the first picture of Schwarzenegger's child: "They will be hunted like Bin Laden by the paparazzi," he said.

TMZ has been posting photos of Schwarzenegger with a woman identified as Baena, including one of them dancing together in 2004. It also published photos of the woman with a boy, who is purported to be the child she had with Schwarzenegger. The site pixelated the photo of the child, except for his mouth and teeth, to show the resemblance to his father. "He looks shockingly like Arnold himself," the tabloid claims.

The scandal appears unlikely to derail Schwarzenegger's Hollywood ambitions, Reuters reported. He is the voice of the lead character in the up-coming animated series "The Governator." He's also playing an aging horse trainer in "Cry Macho," which starts shooting in August.

The sex life of movie stars and political figures are really none of our business and to harass that mother and her son is really abominable. What happened to REAL news stories....the plight of the planet, cures for diseases, corruption in politics......I'm so sick of celebrity news and the hype and spin. Those reporters or paparazzi on their doorsteps should be arrested for littering!
