Joan Baez Falls from Treehouse

Joan Baez, the legendary folksinger, who had a treehouse built 20 feet up an oak tree in her Woodside backyard, fell as she descended from her woody perch on Wednesday. She is now "resting comfortably," after being treated at Stanford Hospital for minor injuries, according to the San Jose Mercury News

"I sleep in a tree all summer long," Baez, 69, told a blogger in 2008. "I climb up a ladder, with ropes and things. The birds are right there in the morning. Sometimes they're flying so close to my head I can feel the wind."

Catch a vintage video of Baez singing "Blowin in the Wind" below.
