A 3.3 magnitude earthquake jolted the East Bay this morning at 9:35 a.m, according to the United States Geological Survey. The epicenter was located near the city of San Pablo, two miles from Richmond and eight miles from Berkeley.

Update: The first quake was followed by a smaller one, magnitude 2.4, at 10:05 a.m. in the same location, according to the USGS.
