The tiny, Sonoma Valley wine town Temelec is the whitest in the Bay Area, newly released census figures show. For those of you who have never heard of the burg (population 1,441), it is just south of the city of Sonoma off of Highway 12.
Just over 91 percent of the town's residents are non-Hispanic whites, making it just a smidge whiter than the Marin County cities of Ross and Belvedere, both of which were 90.8 percent white.
