With a recent poll showing Democratic gubernatorial candidate Jerry Brown pulling ahead of rival Meg Whitman, the candidates are gearing up for their first debate on Tuesday.

Voters can get involved by submitting questions for the candidates here. The debate, sponsored by Capital Public Radio and The Sacramento Bee, among other news outlets, will start at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts at UC Davis. 

Viewers can tune in to watch a live stream of the debate starting at 6 p.m. on the UC Davis website.

As reported this morning by The Bay Citizen, the Whitman campaign has questioned the methodology of this weekend's poll showing Brown is ahead.
