Another 'Spare the Air' Day Thursday

If you took public transit, avoided using aerosol products or put off errands that required driving in honor of Wednesday's Spare the Air day, that's great — now get ready to do it again.

With warm temperatures and light winds expected to last through the rest of the week, the Bay Area Air Quality Management District has declared that Thursday, too, will be a Spare the Air day — the fourth one this summer.

The goal is to cut down on unhealthy ground-level ozone pollution, otherwise known as smog.

Fog and cool temperatures are expected to return to the Bay Area this weekend.
