Self promotion alert: The Bay Citizen is throwing the third in its series of Culture Talks soon, co-produced by the Booksmith.
The subject? Food. These days, not only are menu options expanding, but venue options as well. Dining in a traditional restaurant is just a starting point: there are restaurants in shipping containers, an army of food trucks, and pop ups popping up everywhere.
Bay Citizen food writer Jesse Hirsch, Karen Leibowitz, of Mission Chinese Food and The Bay Citizen, chef Traci Des Jardins of Jardiniere, and Caleb Zigas, executive director of La Cocina, will discuss the ever-changing face of Bay Area dining as part of a panel moderated by The Bay Citizen executive managing editor, Jeanne Carstensen and presented in partnership with the Booksmith.
The panel takes place at Madrone Studios, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. To buy tickets go here.
