Silent Disco at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts

Yerba Buena Center for the Arts launched its latest nighttime performance and event series, Smart Night Out, on Saturday. In addition to dance performances, ambient sound art and workshops, visitors could take part in a Silent Disco. Participants rented headseats for $5 and could switch between two channels of music provided by live DJs, including classic soul from local DJs  Brown Amy and Carnita of Hard French fame and bass from Kid Kameleon, resulting in a dance party where only the dancers could hear the music. —Andy Wright
