Litquake By the Numbers: 2011 Festival Sets Records

This year’s Litquake, the roiling, multi-night literary festival, featured 848 authors, 165 events, 76 venues, and broke last year’s attendance records. The eight-day event started Oct. 7, continued for nine days and includes the main event, Litquake, and the Lit Crawl, where audiences flit in and out of readings spread out over a single night. This year's attendance represents the largest percentage increase since 2007. Below, we break down the numbers:
