Lady Gaga-Themed Occupy Flash Mob Floods Wells Fargo Bank

SF Pride at Work/HAVOQ organized a Lady Gaga themed flash mob to protest Wells Fargo on January 7th. The crowd, many of them bedecked in sequins and hot pink, flooded into the Wells Fargo branch at Montgomery and Market to protest the bank's "role in the economic and housing crisis". The crowd danced on the floor and countertops, singing a re-worked version of Lady Gaga's "Telephone". Check out the video and lyrics below.

You may remember this group's handiwork from 2010, when they took up the cause of hotel workers, also organizing a Lady Gaga themed flash mob in the lobby of the Westin St. Francis. That video has 353,434 views on YouTube now.

The Occupy protest has been noted for its savvy use of marketing tactics and this video is no exception: the infectious musical ends with an appeal for sympathizers to join in a Jan. 20 protest.

Lyrics for Occupy Telephone

Hello, hello,
baby you called,
I can't hear a thing
I have got no service
Since they cut off my phone
Wha-wha-what did you say,
huh, you're breaking up on me
Sorry I cannot hear you
I'm busy marching
b-busy marching
b-busy marching
Sorry I cannot hear you I'm busy marching

Stop callin'
Stop callin'
can't afford to pay anymore
I got my head and my heart in the class war
Stop callin'
Stop callin'
can't afford to pay anymore
I got my head and my heart in the class war

Just a second
It's gonna be crazy up in here.
And I cannot text you with some tear gas on my face.
You've taken all the money and then sent riot police
And now you wont stop calling me
I'm busy marching

Stop callin'
Stop callin'
can't afford to pay anymore
I got my head and my heart in the class war
Stop callin'
Stop callin'
can't afford to pay anymore
I got my head and my heart in the class war

EH EH EH EHE EH EH EH E
STOP TELEPHONING ME

Stop callin'
Stop callin'
can't afford to pay anymore
I got my head and my heart in the class war
Stop callin'
Stop callin'
can't afford to pay anymore
I got my head and my heart in the class war
